Release Date and Title For New Municipal Waste Album Revealed

Local Richmond thrashers Municipal Waste have completed work on their second album entitled The Art of Partying, due out June 11 via Earache Records. You can read about it more here. Hopefully this means a state-side tour when they return from their European stint in April, including a hometown show!

Y'know, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've not yet given this band a listen... (yet).
Can you compare their style to anyone, or are they 100% unique?

Definitely old school thrash metal. I'd probably compare them to early Anthrax or early Testament. Their first album is 15 tracks and only 26 minutes long. The put on a great show though. I've seen them 3 or 4 times so far. They're going back to the old school thrash/punk style of the eighties with a mixture of partying. For a sample of their music & live show check out the video for Unleash The Bastards here. If you liked it, you can download the video there too!
